A white Portland to put out the unforgettable fire.

What a trip it was. All the way there, starting on the plane, I saw fellow fans I knew. 3 hours after we got to Portland it starts to rain. Well, the rain soon turned to snow. What a treat! We played, froze, and looked like we had never seen snow before in our lives.
The next day we were at the box office at 8am. Lucky us it was inside. I met some new friends and saw some old ones. Well, after four hours the security got nervous and kicked us outside into the rain. While we froze we talk U2, ate hot pizza, and drank hot tea. Around 3 they started to sell tickets! We finally saw the end of the tunnel. And thanks to the beautiful Julie we got a GA ticket.

Viva Las Vegas!

What a crazy weekend. 2 U2 shows, 2 Joshua Tree shows, and no sleep in between. Chica goes ahead(because we agreed to wait in line in shifts) and when she gets to the MGM they tell everyone wrist bands will be handed out at 8am. I get a phone call at 6:59am from a frantic Chica yelling "they are handing out wrist bands at 8! GET DOWN HERE!" Janelle and I get down there, in line, by 7:32. Thank God traffic was light.

The MGM was all U2y out. U2 music playing in valet. Everywhere we looked you could see them.

We wait until 10:45ish and tickets go on sale. We get perfect seats right behind the stage! It was the most beautiful view... hehe.

Wow, Edge is from another world!

At the end of the show, we ran into Bono... haha.

Staple's Center Back For More

Middle of the week. Hump day at its best. We got there a little late. Missed Mr. Marley completely. We went straight to will call for our tickets. The guy behind the window asked me "are the tickets through Ticket Master or the band?" I laughed and Chica said The Edge left them for us. Jokingly the guy said they weren't there. Then Chica said maybe Adam left them. The guy looked at the computer and said "Ah, yes he did." He gave us the tickets and we were happily on our way. Security took us through the back halls(aka where the band walks)to get to the GA. A couple I love you Bono echoed through the halls. When we got to the GA I immediately saw the beautiful Rachel followed by Chas. Jase was also there(lucky bitch got in the bomb shelter). Were we at a JT show? Nope... the beany wasn't on The King's head. Chica and I got this beautiful idea that we could talk our way into the shelter. She got in for a minute... a minute more than I. We still had a rocken time in the back of GA! How could we not, it's our boys.

After the concert we headed to the elivator. On the way down Chica asked me "where's the Bono party?" This guy in the elivator ask her "oh your going to the VIP party?" She said yes and he said he would take us. So we fallowed him across the the areana, up an elivator, to this hall way. He points down the hall and saids its the first door on the right. We thank him and go to the doors which are "garded" by two younge men in suites. They asked us for our tickets, so we show them our GA tickets. Then they asked if we had our fliers or wrist bands. We told them we lost them during the concert. So after a while they let us in...hehe.

Birthday Dreams...

Sept 25. U2's 29th birthday... and my 25th. What a night. We had to walk 5 blocks in the heaviest rain I've ever seen. Other than arriving late for the opening band it was beautiful. A fan, a lady we never had met, someone who saw us and held out her hand, helped us get really close to the bomb shelter. I've never seen Bono seem so touchable singing as he walked by. The Edge feel 10 feet tall with solid foot steps. We unfortunately left my good camera in the hotel room, but that's what camera phones are for.

San Jose, the last show until Sept.

It was a such an odd day. We got 3 hours sleep that night. We got up early to help our chances for a good spot in the ticket line. We got there around 10am to find a spot behind 50 people. We saw some people we knew and that helped the time pass. Around 12 they told us tickets would go on sale at 5. So we waited. We decided if no GA tickets were available we wouldn't go. We had no food, no drinks, just an apple. Around 3:30 there was excitement over the Vertigo plane flying over us. At 5 the line finally started moving. We got news only seats behind the stage were left. No GAs! There was a dark moment. A quiet , dark moment. Then out of no where someone shouts "I GOT GA!" It was the light at the end of the tunnel. We finally got to the front of the line, got two GAs, and walked away screaming.

Surprises, friends, birthday wishes, and all in San Jose.

Traveling by car to San Jose from San Diego for a weekend might sound crazy. The weekend turned out to be wonderful. We got to the JT show late. Silly me forgot to pack some stuff so a run to the store was called for. But the rain didn't slow us down and we finally got there. The guy at the gate was so funny, he said to me "We have U2 inside." Chicaedge and I both said "We know." at the same time. He looked scared. Anyways, it was crazy when we got inside. The greeting I got was so sweet. I will forever remember that moment perfectly.
I wish someone had a birthday every show.
